Wallace is a friendly, sweet dog with lots of charm and a laid-back personality. He will be glad to “sit” and “shake” when he meets you!
Wallace is a 2-year old beagle weighing 27 lbs. He comes to the office with Dr. Muehl every day, and during sessions he usually sleeps in his bed. He is welcome to sit with you as long as stays on a blanket or your lap; this keeps the couch dog-free for clients who may be allergic. If you are not a “dog person” he can stay in his crate during your session.
Wallace is in training to be a therapy dog. He started at just 4 months old by taking classes at the Piedmont Kennel Club. He also trains one-on-one with professional dog trainer Ashley Arnold. He earned the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certificate at 6 months old, and earned his Canine Good Citizen certificate when he was 1 year old.
Our goal for 2017 is to become members of the Alliance of Therapy Dogs Charlotte chapter so that Wallace and I can provide visits to nursing homes, schools, and college campuses.
